Responsibilities

• Obtain quality blood samples using venous, capillary, arterial, and line collections as appropriate
• Respond rapidly to medical emergencies and codes
• Interact with patients, nurses, providers and other health professionals to ensure satisfaction
• Use multiple computer programs/systems in daily routine
• Ensure accurate patient identification, proper specimen labeling, handling and transportation
• Answer phones and assist with training of students and new staff
