Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Phlebotomist I for its Mishawaka, IN location to collect and process specimens, perform venipunctures, and ensure compliant handling of samples. You will support data entry and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 6 months venipuncture experience, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and TOUCH system. Candidates must adhere to PPE, OSHA, and HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing assigned duties, troubleshooting, training and workflow improvements.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate phlebotomy technique using straight or butterfly needles.
• Matches requisitions to specimen tubes and inputs data accurately.
• Label, centrifuge, split and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Package specimens for transport and store per required temperatures.
• Comply with OSHA and HIPAA regulations and attend trainings.
• Answer calls and communicate laboratory results when needed.
• Maintain PPE, clean work station and support time management and teamwork.
