Qualifications

• 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Experience labeling, centrifuging, recording maintenance data, and updating patient information.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Check requisitions or computer label against Script to ensure accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and store specimens at required temperatures.
• Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Draw all age groups; data entry; collect payments and ins info; travel within the area for coverage.
