Job summary

Endeavor Health in Chicago seeks a Phlebotomist I to join our lab team. The role supports Swedish Hospital and Patient Service Centers across Cook and Lake Counties, with both full-time and part-time options.

Hours are Monday through Friday, days with some second shift, including weekends and rotating holidays. You will perform routine and special phlebotomy procedures, enter tests in lab systems, collect specimens appropriate for age groups, and ensure proper tubes and adequate sample volumes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• CPR-BLS certification for Healthcare Provider - AHA required.
• PBT (ASCP) certification preferred.
• Phlebotomy training experience strongly preferred.
• Good communication and organization skills; moderate computer skills; reliable transportation to travel between sites; strong customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy procedures as authorized by the Supervisor/Manager/Director.
• Order tests into Laboratory and Hospital computer systems and document receipt of specimens.
• Collect patient specimens appropriate for the age and population served.
• Collect blood samples ensuring adequate volume and correct tubes are used.
