Job summary

Health First is seeking a Phlebotomist I to provide high-quality phlebotomy and laboratory services, ensuring timely and accurate specimen collection. The role emphasizes friendly patient interaction, professional conduct, and safe care across assigned sites.

Responsibilities include adherence to policies, accurate specimen handling, and basic computer tasks. The position supports offsite phlebotomy as needed and may involve travel within facilities as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent or completion of phlebotomy training within 90 days of start date.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Certification required prior to start and maintained.
• One year of venipuncture experience if not trained via a program.
• Strong computer, customer service, and communication skills; ability to prioritize and organize work.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens timely and accurately to support laboratory testing activities.
• Interact with patients in a friendly, courteous, professional manner.
• Perform basic computer tasks related to job performance.
• Support phlebotomy procedures at assigned sites and ensure quality patient care.
• Assist with lab registration, eligibility checks, and payments if applicable.
• Adhere to Health First policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
