Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Phlebotomist I in Linwood, NJ. The role runs Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM with rotational weekends; pay range is $21.60–$23.15 per hour. Responsibilities include specimen collection, data entry, and equipment handling.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and phlebotomy training; certification is preferred. One year phlebotomy experience and customer service in a service setting are desirable. English communication is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical training preferred (medical assistant or paramedic).
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, WA.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments per policy.
• Prepare specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing) for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, sanitizing, filing, phones, email).
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and temperature logs as required.
• Complete online and in-person training timely.
