Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Laredo, TX is seeking a Phlebotomist I to collect specimens and support patient testing in a Monday–Friday schedule with hours varying between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The role offers a pay range of $20.00+ per hour and a comprehensive benefits package for full-time staff.

The position requires accurate data entry, customer service experience, and ability to communicate in English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, WA.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, etc.).
• Administer oral solutions per training.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client contact; enter data accurately.
• Navigate computer systems and enter billing information when required.
• Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport).
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, emails).
• Follow departmental policies and procedures; maintain logs and prepare for audits.
