Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is hiring for a Phlebotomist I in Dallas, TX, Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with rotational weekends. The role includes phlebotomy, specimen handling, and data entry using lab systems.

Strong English communication and customer service skills are essential; medical training or phlebotomy certification is preferred. Salary starts at $20.80 per hour with benefits and potential annual performance bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred in CA, NV, and WA.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and confirm/verify orders using lab systems.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information and collect payments as required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stock, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
