Job summary

Responsibilities

• Greet patients courteously and record demographics accurately.
• Receive and process patient and test information per procedures.
• Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture; label specimens correctly.
• Process and deliver specimens; report issues with punctures.
• Input and retrieve data from lab/hospital systems.
• Operate laboratory communication systems and maintain quality control.
• Attend safety meetings and adhere to procedures; report accidents.
• May train new staff and assist with competency testing.
