Kaweah Health in Visalia, CA seeks a Per Diem Phlebotomist I to collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for analysis. This part-time position supports the Clinical Laboratory across multiple shifts.

The role requires CA Phlebotomy I certification, strong patient communication, and accurate data entry. Travel between sites may be required; excellent attention to safety and documentation is essential.

Qualifications

• CA Phlebotomy I certification is required.
• High School Diploma required.
• Medical office experience preferred.
• Excellent communication with patients and healthcare staff.

Responsabilités

• Greets patients courteously and accurately records all pertinent demographics in a timely manner.
• Receives and processes patient and test information according to established procedures.
• Performs venipuncture and capillary puncture according to written procedures.
• Accurately labels all specimens with pertinent information.
• Processes and delivers specimens as required.
• Reports all problem punctures (venipuncture/capillary) to the person in charge.
• Maintains quality control and assists in performance of Quality Improvement.
• Attends all required laboratory safety meetings.
