Job summary

Quest Diagnostics seeks a Phlebotomist I in Anaheim, CA. The role requires a state phlebotomy license and offers a 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM schedule with rotational weekends. The pay range is $24.00 to $25.70 per hour, with eligibility for annual performance bonuses based on company factors and personal performance.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, data entry, and maintaining logs. Education: high school diploma; phlebotomy certification preferred and required in CA, NV, WA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screening.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information, collecting payments as required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, calls and emails.
• Read, understand and comply with policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submission when required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training courses timely.
