Job summary

Intermountain Health in Utah seeks a Phlebotomist I to accurately collect and handle patient specimens for diagnostic testing, following best practices and safety standards. The role supports compassionate patient care and requires flexibility to work Monday–Friday across multiple clinics from Orem to Riverton.

You will perform venipuncture, capillary puncture, PIVO and throat swab collections while maintaining documentation and adhering to safety regulations.

Qualifications

• BLS Required
• High School Diploma or equivalent, Preferred
• Six months of phlebotomy experience, phlebotomy training or national certification as approved by manager/supervisor. Preferred

Responsibilities

• Accurately collect patient specimens for diagnostic testing in a professional environment.
• Work as part of a dynamic team with varying workloads across hospital and clinics.
• Communicate procedures and instructions with patients and family, showing empathy.
• Take on-call shifts and participate in holiday rotations as needed.
• Support growth and training of new staff and participate in special projects.
