Job description

Our Client, a Medical Research company, is looking for a Phlebotomist I for their Sarasota, FL location.

Responsibilities:

1. The Phlebotomist I represents the face of the company to patients who come in, whether as part of their health routine or for insights into health decisions.
2. Draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares specimens for lab testing, following established practices and procedures.
3. Creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence with patients, explaining procedures and drawing blood specimens skillfully, safely, and accurately.
4. Demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.
5. Under the direction of the area supervisor, performs daily activities accurately and on time, maintains a safe and professional environment, and keeps required records and documentation.
6. Promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
3. Phlebotomy certification preferred.
4. At least 6 months of phlebotomy experience.
5. Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred.
6. Keyboard/data entry experience required.
