Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Phlebotomist I to join our Patient Service Centers across Cook County, IL. This full-time/part-time role features Monday–Friday day shifts with varied start times, some weekends and rotating holidays.

The ideal candidate will perform routine and specialized phlebotomy, document lab receipt of specimens, and collect samples with attention to age-specific requirements. CPR-BLS certification is required; phlebotomy training and strong customer service are highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent work experience.
• CPR-BLS certification required from the AHA.
• Phlebotomy training experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and special phlebotomy procedures as authorized by supervision.
• Order tests into the Laboratory and Hospital computer systems and document receipt of specimens.
• Collect patient specimens in accordance with test requirements and patient population served.
• Collect blood samples ensuring appropriate volume and correct tubes are used.
