Medical University of South Carolina seeks a phlebotomist to collect blood samples and verify records for lab analysis. You may prick a finger to draw blood and perform bedside testing in inpatient and outpatient settings.
Responsibilities include preparing specimens, LIS-related tasks, and providing instruction to students and personnel under the manager's guidance. An accredited phlebotomy certificate is required.
Collect venous and capillary specimens using Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and aseptic technique in multiple inpatient and outpatient settings; Perform bedside testing; Perform Laboratory Information System (LIS) functions; Provide instruction to students/personnel; Perform laboratory related duties as requested by the Manager.
