Job summary

Iredell Memorial Hospital Incorporated is seeking a phlebotomist to perform phlebotomy and blood collection across all ages, while handling registration and clerical tasks in the department. The role requires current BLS, a phlebotomy training or equivalent experience, and a valid national phlebotomy certification upon hire.

The position supports routine and special collections, with access to patient information as needed.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy training completed or substantial related experience in a health care setting.
• Current BLS certification required.
• 1–2 years of lab or phlebotomy experience preferred, in hospital/clinic.
• Must hold active national phlebotomy certification upon hire.
• Physically able to perform duties including walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 15 pounds.
• Must pass basic FIT test and have full range of motion.

Responsibilities

• Proficiently perform phlebotomies and special collection procedures for patients from neonate to geriatric.
• Handle patient registration and clerical tasks for the department.
• Access patient health information as required by duties.
• May access medication storage areas related to job responsibilities.
