Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a phlebotomist to join our team in Pelham, AL. This role involves drawing blood, collecting specimens for various tests, and entering patient data accurately. You will also handle billing information and provide excellent patient service.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, and phlebotomy certification or training; 1 year of experience is preferred. Vaccination against COVID-19 is required where allowed by law.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Preferred: 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
