Job summary

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Montgomery, AL team. The role focuses on venipuncture and capillary collections, specimen handling, and delivering quality patient service in outpatient settings.

Position requires high school diploma or GED, Phlebotomy certification (or training), and ability to travel to additional sites. Schedule includes Mon-Thu mornings and Friday shifts, with benefits and growth opportunities in a large diagnostics network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or Phlebotomy certification.
• Completed training or 3+ months experience as phlebotomist.
• Must be vaccinated against COVID-19 or qualify for accommodation.
• Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency (if no experience).
• Strong track record of customer service and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
