Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a phlebotomist to join our team in Montgomery AL. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary methods, processing specimens, and providing excellent patient service in a clinical setting.

The position requires a high school diploma/GED and phlebotomy certification or training, with flexibility to travel to additional sites as needed. Vaccination against COVID-19 is required where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
