Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification program with externship preferred but not required.
• ASCP certification preferred.
• Manual dexterity and acuity for venipuncture.
• Interpersonal verbal and written English communication.
• Ability to work under pressure with high patient volume.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience in customer service.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipuncture and capillary punctures on adult and pediatric patients.
• Performs processing of specimens and routes to appropriate laboratory.
• Performs clerical duties associated with the laboratory computer system.
