We are looking to hire a phlebotomist.

As a Phlebotomist at MercyOne, you will be responsible for collecting blood specimens from patients of all age groups in a timely and accurate manner, following all related policies and procedures. All specimens are collected with professionalism and technical skill, demonstrating excellent customer service.

Schedule: Full Time Nights
General Requirements:

• Previous experience or training not required.
• Performs other duties consistent with purpose of job as directed.
• Prioritizes and organizes the collection of blood and other diagnostic specimens based on testing urgency with minimal supervision.
• Accurately identifies patients prior to collection using two identifiers, labels specimens properly, and records data neatly and accurately.
• Collects blood and diagnostic specimens based on orders and established protocols.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of certified phlebotomy course preferred but not required.
• Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within 6 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter.
