Job summary

Global Technical Talent, Inc. seeks a Phlebotomist - Floater for onsite work in Coon Rapids, MN. The role involves drawing blood, preparing specimens for lab testing, and maintaining accurate records under supervision.

The ideal candidate has at least three years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections, with a high school diploma and optional phlebotomy certification. Contract position with 3 months duration and daily 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM shifts.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• High school diploma or equivalent — REQUIRED.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• Travel and flexible hours required to work multiple locations and required to cover at Patient Service Center/In-Office Phlebotomy locations with minimal notice.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Perform with confidence both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
• Verify patient demographic info / initials including patient signature post-venipuncture to verify tubes were labeled in their presence and that the name on the label is correct.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general.
