Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Phlebotomist - Floater in Edina, MN. This onsite contract role involves collecting blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing, with emphasis on patient interaction and accuracy. The candidate will handle multiple locations and shifts as needed.

The ideal candidate has 3 years of phlebotomy experience, includes pediatric and geriatric collection, and flexibility for weekends/holidays. Training locations vary; vaccination not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
• Verify patient demographic info / initials post-venipuncture to ensure tubes are labeled correctly.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public.
