Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float with Testing capabilities for the PAML site in Oregon. The role includes venipuncture and capillary collections across ages, processing specimens for testing, and potential data entry and billing tasks.

Travel to other sites may be required. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and one or more years of phlebotomy experience; certification or accredited training is preferred.

Qualifications

• One or more years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Six or more months of current Labcorp phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification or accredited training accepted in lieu of work experience.
• Must pass a color vision test.
• Must be 21 years of age with a clean driving record.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Phlebotomist Float w/Testing - PAML

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday hours vary between 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM; additional hours and rotating Saturdays as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Qualified to perform moderate complexity testing as defined by CLIA.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and promptly.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as needed.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• One or more years of phlebotomy experience.
• Six or more months of current or prior Labcorp experience in phlebotomy.

Additional Job Standards

In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.

• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Must be 21 years of age and have a clean driving record.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
