Job summary

Summit Health in New Jersey is seeking a full-time Phlebotomist Float to support our NJ clinical lab office locations.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30am–5pm, with rotating weekend coverage. Travel to satellite locations may be required to meet operational needs.

The role requires competency in adult, pediatric, and infant phlebotomy, aseptic technique, specimen handling, and LIS data entry, with strong attention to accuracy and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy Technician Certification preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and laboratory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood using aseptic technique and collect specimens.
• Process specimens for transport to the main lab.
• Document results in the LIS and notify physicians of critical results.
• Train new staff in proper lab policies and procedures.
