Job summary

Labcorp in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a friendly phlebotomist for part-time hours (about 25 per week) with daytime shifts Monday–Friday and Saturday mornings. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, collect specimens for tests, and provide courteous service to patients in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification or completed training, and 3 months or more experience.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program.
• 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
