Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our Nevada team, covering Carson City and surrounding areas. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, enter patient data accurately, and travel to additional sites as needed.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday hours will vary between 6:30 am to 4:00 pm and rotating Saturdays 7:00 am - 1:00 pm; additional days/hours as needed

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• Nevada state issued laboratory assistant license

Preferred Qualifications:

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 1 years or more experience as a phlebotomist Drawing on pediatrics to geriatrics

Additional Job Standards:

• In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a lab assistant license filed with the NV Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Ability to work in fast paced / high volume work environments
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Pay Range: $17.75 - $27.69 per hour Float Differential: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
