Job summary

Labcorp in Sparks, NV seeks a Phlebotomist to collect blood samples by venipuncture and capillary methods for all ages. You will enter patient data accurately, process billing, and maintain specimen logs while delivering exceptional patient service.

Travel to other sites may be required. Minimum NV license as a laboratory assistant is required; 1 year of phlebotomy experience and English/Spanish bilingual skills are preferred.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Sparks, NV at 1311 North McCarran Boulevard, Sparks, NV 89431. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm and rotating Saturdays as needed; additional days/hours as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• Nevada state issued laboratory assistant license

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist
• Bilingual in English/Spanish

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a lab assistant license filed with the NV Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed

Pay Range: $17.75 - $27.69 per hour

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
