Job summary

Labcorp in Arizona (Phoenix metro) is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team across the Phoenix area, including Peoria, Glendale, Sun City and Scottsdale. The schedule runs Monday–Friday with hours between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm, and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities include venipuncture and capillary collections, processing specimens, data entry, and providing excellent patient service. Phlebotomy certification or training is preferred; a valid driver's license and ability to travel

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training preferred.
• Experience with venipuncture and capillary techniques a plus.

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in Arizona (Phoenix metro) to include, but not limited to the cities of Peoria, Glendale, Sun City and Scottsdale.

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday hours will vary between 6:00 am – 6:00 pm; additional days/hours as needed

Job Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 2 years or more experience as a phlebotomist
• Experience drawing on pediatrics to geriatrics

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Ability to work in fast paced / high volume work environments
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Float Differential

Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
