Float Phlebotomist

Job Overview

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in Arizona, covering locations including Prescott, Prescott Valley, Mayer, Black Canyon, Cottonwood, Sedona, Williams, Flagstaff, and Winslow.

Work Schedule

Able to cover hours that vary Monday - Friday 6:00 am – 7:00 pm, with additional days/hours as needed, including some Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work in fast paced / high volume work environments.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
