Job summary

Labcorp in Matthews, NC is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques across age groups and travel to additional sites as needed.

You will collect specimens for drug screens and tests, enter patient data accurately, and provide superior service to patients while maintaining compliance with quality and safety standards. You will work Monday–Friday 7:00am–7:00pm with rotating weekends, hours vary by location, and may

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Be at least 21 years’ old
• Have a Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency or previous experience as a phlebotomist

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday 7:00am - 7:00pm with rotating weekends, hours vary upon location.

Job Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• One year or more experience as a phlebotomist

Additional Job Standards

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency or previous experience as a phlebotomist
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Have a Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
• Be at least 21 years’ old

Float Incentive

Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement.

• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
