Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Clinical knowledge of physiology and anatomy preferred.
• Previous experience as a clinical phlebotomist preferred.
• ASCP Phlebotomist certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accessions samples according to established policies and procedures.
• Assist with inventory management including stocking and ordering.
• Provide administrative support and maintain accurate record systems.
• Answer phones and respond to patient and physician inquiries.
• Ensure proper labeling and integrity of specimens.
• Facilitate result reporting through electronic documentation.
• Monitor orders and assist with equipment maintenance.
• Coordinate with departments to resolve specimen issues.
• Participate in staff meetings and ongoing professional development.
• Maintain safety standards and perform other duties as assigned.
