Qualifications

• High School Diploma/Equivalent required.
• Previous hospital experience required.

Responsibilities

• Identifies outpatients by verbal confirmation and positive ID system.
• Identifies inpatients using hospital ID wristband and scanner.
• Identifies and labels specimens for Blood Bank testing with positive patient ID.
• Performs venipunctures and/or skin punctures with proper aseptic technique.
• Draws blood cultures when needed and ensures proper labeling and documentation.
