Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Oakland, MD. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm, with opportunities to travel to additional sites as needed.

Responsibilities include venipuncture and capillary collections across all ages, specimen handling, data entry, billing support, and delivering excellent patient service. A phlebotomy credential or training, or 3+ months of experience, is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
