Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program preferred.
• Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician within 6 months of hire (CPT from NHA, ASCP, or equivalent).
• Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience, preferably in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections on patients of all ages, following established protocols.
• Verify patient identity, explain procedures, and obtain informed consent prior to collections.
• Label, process, and transport specimens accurately to the laboratory for analysis.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and proper disposal of biohazardous waste.
