Job summary

MANA Medical Associates of Northwest Arkansas is seeking a Part-Time Phlebotomist (FDC) in Fayetteville, AR. The role involves drawing blood, collecting specimens, and ensuring accuracy and patient comfort during venipuncture and related procedures.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 1:00pm. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED; experience is welcome but not required. Join a physician-owned practice focused on compassionate, quality healthcare and patient care.

Phlebotomist (FDC)

Job Locations: US-AR-Fayetteville. ID: 2026-2519. Category: Lab/Health Services. Position Type: Regular Part-Time. Location/Org Data: Name: Health Services.

The Phlebotomist draws blood and obtains various specimens from patients with minimum discomfort and pain for the performance of clinical laboratory analyses. Hours for this position will be Monday thru Friday 7:30am - 1:00pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accuracy in all work; Complete tasks on time and per any deadlines, label specimens with a high degree of accuracy, ensure proper tubes are used for each blood test ordered
  • Verify the identity of every patient before collecting any samples
  • identification and sample collection using paper orders in the event of an interruption in computer service
  • Be aware of Medicare guidelines, send-out test requirements, and special tests; Explain Medicare ABNs to patients clearly and accurately
  • Perform venipuncture and finger/heel stick procedures with a high degree of professionalism and concern for the patient, including a minimum of 2 sticks per encounter
  • Collect nasal and throat swabs and blood cultures when needed

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience preferred; but not required
