Advocate Health is seeking a phlebotomist for the Carolinas Medical Center Reference Lab in Anson PSC, Wadeboro, NC. This full-time role involves venipuncture, specimen processing, patient registration, and routine testing under supervision.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate documentation, handling specimens, and providing phone support for patient care areas. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 0800–1700, 40 hours weekly, with full benefits and on-site work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Certification in phlebotomy preferred where phlebotomy is a duty.
• Knowledge of basic lab techniques and specimen handling.
• Familiarity with hospital information systems and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood via venipuncture or capillary puncture.
• Process nonblood specimens accurately and timely.
• Prepare specimens, document results, and transport as needed.
• Register patients and provide phone support to care areas.
• Maintain PPE and sterile techniques to prevent contamination.
• Train new staff and students in lab processes.
