Job summary

The Recruiting Hive in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role (3 months with potential for permanent). Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Location: Spartanburg, SC, working in a fast-paced clinical lab to support patient testing and specimen collection. Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling and centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data, and ensuring accurate test requisitions.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High School Diploma or GED; proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and specimen labeling.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Package and transport specimens following protocols.
• Ensure accurate labeling and match requisitions to tubes.
• Comply with OSHA/DEP regulations and attend trainings.
