Job summary

The Millennium Physician Group in Warner Robins, GA is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture, collect samples, and prepare specimens for testing in a fast-paced clinic. You will verify patient records, label specimens, and ensure proper handling while following safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification required.
• 2+ years lab experience.
• Knowledge of labeling and ID protocols.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety and universal precautions.
• Experience locating tests in Quest/LabCorp.
• Ability to interpret miscellaneous orders and guide new phlebotomists.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs painless venipuncture and capillary puncture for the Coumadin clinic.
• Identifies patient following protocol.
• Prepares samples for processing with correct labeling and bar code; inspects vials.
• Reconciles outstanding sample reports at day’s end.
• Observe safety procedures and sample prep.
• Support and guide in day-to-day activities.
• Clean up old orders and manage duplicates in Copia.
• Demonstrate excellent guest service to internal team members and patients.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
