Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC is seeking a contract Phlebotomist in Colonial Heights, VA. The role involves performing venipunctures, labeling and processing specimens, and maintaining accurate patient data in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate will collect and transport specimens, explain the venipuncture process clearly to patients, and ensure proper documentation and labeling per test orders. Requires relevant certification and at least 6 months of experience in a clinical or hospital

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and labels.
