Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking an experienced Phlebotomist for a contract assignment in Manhattan, KS. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, with a projected duration of 3 months and potential for permanent placement.

The role involves blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, data recording and maintaining patient information while following OSHA guidelines. Minimum qualifications include phlebotomy certification, 6 months venipuncture experience, and HS diploma or

Qualifications

Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) required.

Responsibilities

Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
Explains venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients as required.
Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders; ensure accuracy of requisitions.
Attend trainings and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
