True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract assignment in Manassas, VA. Role involves blood draws across age groups, specimen labeling, centrifuging, and data entry. On-site schedule Mon-Fri 8am-5pm with potential for permanent conversion.

Minimum 2 years of experience is preferred; phlebotomy certification required by some states. Benefits are available; occasional work at another Manassas location may be needed. Data entry and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain clearly and courteously the venipuncture process to patients and/or other specimen collection requirements.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples according to required temperatures.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure 100% accuracy.
