Job summary

Markent Personnel is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract position in Manhattan, KS. Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7:30 am–4:30 pm. Duration: 3 months with potential for permanent placement. Pay: $17.40 per hour. Benefits are available.

Responsibilities include blood draws, labeling and centrifuging specimens, and accurate data entry. Must have a valid phlebotomy certification (state where employed) and at least 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification where required by state
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label/centrifuge specimens as required
• Update patient information and maintain accurate laboratory records
• Package and transport specimens per protocol and regulatory guidelines
• Explain venipuncture procedure clearly to patients and ensure specimen integrity
• Attend department trainings and maintain OSHA/DEP compliance
