Job summary

Mercy Health seeks a Phlebotomist to join New Vision Medical Laboratories - Joint Township. The role involves drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and handling clerical tasks to keep the department efficient.

Responsibilities include order entry, result lookup, report generation, and friendly communication with internal and external callers. Travel to off-site locations is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomist Certification preferred but not required.
• One year phlebotomy experience preferred but not required.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide excellent customer service.
• Collect specimens and ensure proper processing.
• Identify patients accurately and match identity with the correct service.
• Data entry and processing of specimens by labeling, centrifuging, and splitting as requested by orders.
• Perform clerical duties such as inventory, stock supplies, and answering phones as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.
