Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience preferred in physician offices.

Responsibilities

• Verifies test requisitions by comparing information with nursing station log.
• Obtains blood specimens by performing venipunctures and fingersticks.
• Maintains specimen integrity by aseptic technique and procedures.
• Tracks specimens by initialling, dating, and timing collections.
• Performs bleeding-times tests and reports results to pathologist.
• Maintains quality results by logging data and reporting changes.
• Keeps work environment safe and compliant with regulations.
