Job summary

Kedrion Biopharma Inc., through Kedplasma, is seeking a Phlebotomist to guide donors through a safe, comfortable plasma donation process and to support life-saving therapies.

You will perform venipuncture, monitor donors, maintain equipment and the center environment, follow SOPs and regulatory standards, and ensure accurate donor data entry while upholding safety and donor confidentiality in a regulated setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California).
• At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures precisely.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and compassionate in high-pressure situations.
• Commitment to safety, compliance, and donor care.
• Comfortable working in a regulated environment with exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

Responsibilities

• Educate donors on the donation process and policies.
• Greet donors and introduce the donation process to establish trust.
• Perform venipuncture following SOPs and manage collection procedures.
• Monitor donor well-being and respond to adverse reactions.
• Maintain equipment and report malfunctions; ensure readiness for operations.
• Set up plasma donation machines and respond to alarms.
• Collect and label test samples, including NAT testing.
• Record donor data in the donor information system.
• Respond to donor complaints, deferrals, or concerns.
• Support donor flow and address bottlenecks or issues.
• Prepare the center for audits and ensure SOP/regulatory compliance.
• Uphold data integrity and confidentiality.
