Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Germantown team in Germantown, MD. The role includes blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques, processing specimens, and accurate data entry, with a focus on excellent patient service.

The schedule is Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm with possible Saturday shifts; a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or equivalent training are required. Overtime may be needed and travel to other sites could occur.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Other Duties as assigned.
