Job summary

The Keystone Distinction Group in Shelby, NC is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role with potential permanent placement. Work hours are 7:30am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday, for an initial 3-month engagement with possible extension.

You will perform blood draws, label specimens, and ensure proper handling and documentation. A state phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months of relevant experience are required, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and venipuncture following established procedures.
• Label and document specimens accurately; ensure proper chain of custody.
• Centrifuge specimens and prepare samples for transport or testing.
• Update patient information and maintain accurate maintenance data.
