Job summary

ASHFORD CONNEX, LLC in Glen Burnie, MD is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7am to 4pm, for an initial 3-month engagement with possible extension.

The role requires 2–4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience, a valid Phlebotomy certification, and familiarity with venipuncture, specimen labeling, and specimen handling in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting. Training and OSHA/DEP compliance are expected.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
