Job summary

Aspire Talent Solutions is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract in Glen Burnie, MD, with potential for permanent placement. Schedule: M-F 7a-4p.

Primary duties include blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, and proper handling while following OSHA and DEP regulations. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience, a valid state phlebotomy certification, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and related specimen collection.
• Label, centrifuge, aliquot, and store specimens per test orders.
• Collect and record maintenance data and troubleshoot workflow.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients in a courteous manner.
• Ensure specimen integrity and proper transport according to procedures.
